Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist, where you will play a vital role in improving communication and swallowing abilities for individuals in a pediatric setting.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders using standardized tools and clinical observation
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, goals, and abilities
- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions/evaluations through telehealth platforms, utilizing evidence-based techniques and adaptive strategies
- Collaborate and supervise SLPAs to ensure high quality standards and state requirements when delivering services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, session notes, and treatment outcomes within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication skills and manage disabilities effectively
- Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and best practices in speech-language pathology to enhance service quality
Requirements
- SLP Florida active and clear license
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in school or clinical settings with a focus on pediatrics and early intervention
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions
- Skilled in patient assessment techniques for diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities and geriatric patients
- Experience delivering telehealth therapy sessions effectively using various digital platforms
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and healthcare documentation standards
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care
