OT Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) responsibilities include managing a caseload of clients using evidence-based/ person centered principles to develop, implement, and coordinate an occupational therapy program. This individual will provide screening, evaluation, and treatment to clients to help them develop functional skills. The OTR/L will select the activities most appropriate to the client. Service provisions may include direct, monitored, and consultative approaches.
The OTR/L will maintain a 75% caseload productivity while providing OT services to clients. The OTR/L is expected to provide services that place the highest priority on the ethical delivery of therapy with the best interests of the clients at the center of his/her efforts.
We are looking for 2 OTR/Ls, one for our Burnsville site and the other for the Minnetonka location.
- · Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- · General knowledge of typical and special needs clients
- · Successfully passed an initial and subsequent background checks
- · Must have some experience and be interested in working with children and possess the interpersonal skills to be playful, enthusiastic, and bring a high level of energy into the therapeutic situation
- · Must demonstrate the ability to administer and write assessments/evaluations
OT Preferred Qualifications:
- · Previous behavioral therapy experience
- · Knowledge of teaching procedures associated with Verbal Behavior Therapy
- · Previous therapy experience working with children with autism
Pay: $36.58 - $51.69 per hour
