Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Lead to drive the successful execution of complex construction projects. As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee daily operations on-site, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, ensure adherence to safety standards, and manage project schedules and budgets. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering high-quality results on time and within scope, fostering a culture of excellence and safety throughout all phases of construction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring projects progress according to plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless communication and workflow.
- Oversee the interpretation of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam to track progress, update schedules, and document project milestones.
- Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes to maintain project scope and budget integrity.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify workmanship meets standards; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings and site audits.
- Oversee project scheduling using Primavera P6 or HeavyBid to optimize resource allocation and meet deadlines.
- Monitor project budgets through detailed cost tracking; collaborate with management on cost control strategies.
- Supervise onsite personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction management with proven supervisory skills in heavy civil or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera (P6), HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of contracts, project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols; ability to enforce safety standards effectively on-site.
- Skilled in using technical tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and other diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent management capabilities with a track record of supervising diverse teams across complex projects.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate schematics into actionable tasks on-site.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.
