The Respiratory Therapist plans and provides comprehensive patient care, manages available nursing resources, and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.

Part-time, Night Shift; 60 hours per pay period, with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation, benefited
Essential Duties Include:
-
Provides clinical evaluation and assessment of all age groups of patients served by the facility including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Evaluates patient assessments and responses to interventions and takes appropriate action according to established standards.

Participates in patient and family education as evidenced by teaching documentation on appropriate forms.

Initiates effective discharge and referral plans on admission utilizing appropriate hospital and community resources.

Maintains knowledge and competency in respiratory therapy for all ages of patients, including, but not limited to ventilators, noninvasive ventilation, CPAP, and other respiratory modalities.
Educational Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Respiratory Care required

Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with one year to complete Registry exam

BLS upon hire
-
NRP certification within 3 months of hire

ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire

Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Wisconsin
