Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Hostess Cashier to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional guest services and creating a positive first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating charts to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer phone calls promptly using proper phone etiquette; assist with reservation inquiries and take dine-in or take-out orders as needed
- Coordinate with the dining staff to ensure smooth table management and timely seating of guests
- Handle cashier responsibilities including processing payments through POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accuracy in transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus, reservation logs, and payment stations
- Follow food safety standards and uphold hospitality best practices to enhance guest satisfaction and safety
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and restaurant table management systems is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
- Experience in food safety practices and maintaining high standards of guest relations is advantageous
