About the Role
U.S. Plants is seeking a Horticultural Technician who is passionate about plant health and biophilic design. You will manage a professional route, serving as the primary expert for our clients to ensure their living environments remain flawless.

Key Responsibilities
- Horticultural Care & Maintenance: Perform expert maintenance on various plant species, including precise watering, pruning, cleaning (dusting), and fertilizing -during 2-3 dedicated service days per week to ensure peak plant health and aesthetic.
- Health Diagnostics: Proactively identify and treat plant pests or diseases to ensure the longevity of the installation.
- Aesthetic Curation: Maintain the "U.S. Plants Standard" by ensuring all displays are clean, symmetrical, and visually "enriched."
- Business Development & Strategy: Drive regional growth by identifying new construction and office opportunities, managing upsells to existing accounts, and acting as the primary brand ambassador to scale the division. Help grow our presence in the DC and Baltimore markets.
- Client Engagement & Quality Control: Conduct 1–2 days of site inspections and client check-ins to ensure total customer satisfaction, identify upsell opportunities, and scout new office or construction leads.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2 + years in horticulture, interiorscaping, or greenhouse operations preferred.
- Reliability: High level of punctuality and self-discipline to manage an independent route
- Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working on your feet, lifting up to 40 lbs, and safely using ladders for high-reach installations.
- Professional Requirements: All applicants must have a clean driving record and be willing to undergo a background screening as part of the onboarding process.
- This role can also be considered part time depending on your previous experiences.
Compensation
Starting Rate: $18 - $20/hr depending on experience.
