Peerless Steel is building a small team of experienced, dependable part‑time CDL‑A drivers who can step in when we need extra support — PTO coverage, call‑offs, or short‑notice deliveries.
If you want to stay behind the wheel without the full‑time commitment, this is the ideal role.
What You’ll Do
- Fill in on local/regional steel deliveries
- Run routes only when you choose to accept them
- Home every day — no overnights
- Work directly with dispatch for simple, clear assignments
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
- Ensure accurate loading and securement of materials
- Maintain DOT compliance and safe driving practices
- Provide professional, friendly customer service
What You Need
- Valid CDL Class A
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and handle materials safely
- Strong attention to detail and schedule management
- Customer‑service mindset
- Experience in steel, flatbed, or logistics is a plus
