Wondermade has been a beloved fixture of Downtown Sanford for more than a decade. We are most famous for our flavored marshmallows, which are nationally distributed and have been featured in countless media outlets, as well as in our store at Disney Springs.
We also serve handcrafted ice creams, drinks, and offer a carefully curated selection of retail products.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Candy Crew Member supports our front of house and confection teams through various food prep, and sometimes interfaces directly with guests in our Sanford store.
Most of the Candy Crew Member's time is spent providing exceptional Front of House guest care, serving ice cream and treats, and creating amazing guest experiences. There is also occasional opportunity to support our production team by cutting, portioning, and packaging our hand-crafted marshmallows.
PAY STRUCTURE
$15/hr, plus tips on front of house shifts
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Serve food (scoop ice cream, make coffee, cook cones, toast marshmallows, etc) according to Wondermade standards and recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized space
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Assist managers on other food prep or work as needed
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cut, roll, and portion cooked marshmallows into packaging
- Maintain a healthy food safe environment
- Work independently to hit time-driven production goals
- Clean and prepare production environment for next shifts
- Communicate well with other staff and supervisors
- Performing non-cooking food prep
REQUIREMENTS
- Maintains positive morale and professional attitude with guests, and with teammates
- Must be able to learn how to operate the cash register
- Must be a team player
- Must be responsible and flexible
- Previous experience in retail or food service preferred
- Regularly required to handle food and hot beverages
- Moving up to 50 pounds without accommodations
- Thriving in a fast-paced food production environment
- Working on your feet throughout shifts
