Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director of Social Work to lead our social services team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in behavioral health, mental health counseling, and case management, with a strong focus on patient-centered care. As the Director of Social Work, you will oversee clinical operations, supervise staff, and ensure the delivery of comprehensive social work services across diverse settings. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a compassionate environment that promotes healing, resilience, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight of social work programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of licensed social workers, behavioral therapists, and case managers to promote professional growth and high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance service delivery, compliance, and documentation accuracy.
- Oversee clinical assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and individualized treatment planning for patients with complex needs such as developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, and addiction issues.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts to deliver integrated care plans that include behavioral therapy, family counseling, crisis intervention, and group therapy sessions.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality and managing medical records with precision.
- Lead crisis management initiatives by providing guidance during emergency situations involving mental health or behavioral crises.
- Facilitate training sessions on applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing techniques, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based practices.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate data collection, patient documentation, and case management activities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through data analysis, quality assurance measures, and patient feedback.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent required.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related mental health field
- Extensive experience in behavioral health settings with a focus on long-term care and skilled nursing.
- Proven supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams within healthcare or community-based organizations.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in behavioral therapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma-informed approaches.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer's disease, PTSD, and addiction counseling is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration across departments.
- Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage patients, families, staff members, and external stakeholders.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
