About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our production equipment. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and implement effective repairs. Your ability to maintain equipment and minimize downtime will directly contribute to our operational success.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components, including high-voltage systems (up to 480V 3-phase) and low-voltage control circuits, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to prevent breakdowns and maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMIS), contributing to data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems, ensuring smooth and reliable operation of automated equipment.
- Utilize test equipment, such as digital multi-meters and amp meters, to accurately assess equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of total preventive maintenance programs, optimizing equipment lifespan and reducing unplanned downtime.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical symbols.
- Experience using a computerized inventory system to locate spare parts and manage inventory.
- Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively.
- Experience in the plastics industry.
- Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, and initiative.
- Associate degree in a related field.
