Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demonstrations when appropriate
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Enhance customer interactions by ensuring our customers leave the store with everything they need to complete their project
- Maintain attractive displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing products, and conducting stock checks
- Proactively learn about the products we sell with a focus on becoming a specialist in multiple departments
- Assist with supervising new team members and fostering a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Previous food service and higher value retail experience is commonly a great fit for this roll
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, retail math, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Demonstrated customer service skills, ability to interpret customers’ needs, and a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to remain cool under pressure

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
