Pay range: $94,375 - $153,355 / year

To assist the director or executive director in managing the daily operations of the department. To design, maintain, document, communicate and administer compensation policies and guidelines. To provide direction and oversight to schools, units and/or departments in the resolution of compensation related matters. To conduct and respond to wage and salary surveys, write job descriptions, evaluate jobs, and recommend appropriate classifications. To provide compensation related advice and support to departments as requested
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assists in overseeing the daily operations of the compensation department including, but not limited to, managing the overall job evaluation and wage and salary management programs for the University or Hospital entity, managing the workflow process, assigning and reviewing the work of departmental personnel and maintaining appropriate office operations and standard operating procedures.
2. Manages various compensation-related projects that involve revision, development and/or re-design of existing compensation programs. Ensures the compensation program is internally equitable and externally competitive in order to attract, motivate and retain qualified individuals.
3. Ensures the administration of various compensation programs are compliant with established guidelines, processes and procedures.
4. Evaluates positions by determining classifications, salary and FLSA status. Responds to requests from schools, units and/or departments for job descriptions, minimum requirements and other compensation related data.
5. Oversees and participates in salary surveys to ensure market competive. May oversee and/or participate in IT-related systems work that affect compensation such as market data systems, job description databases, workflow processes and any others that may be identified.
6. Manages and coaches professional employees and is accountable for performance and results of the compensation team.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or a related field and seven (7) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
Currently certified as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) by WorldatWork preferred.
