InGenesis is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to provide healthcare services within a correctional facility medical clinic for our client. In this role, you will perform technical direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Physician, or Dentist. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring and documenting patient health status, performing nursing procedures, assisting with patient assessments, and contributing to the implementation of patient care plans.
As an LPN, you will play an integral role in supporting the healthcare team and ensuring quality care is provided to individuals within the correctional healthcare environment.
Level I
This is the basic level of the job family where employees perform routine entry-level tasks under close professional supervision and in a training status to build their skills in providing nursing care as a licensed practical nurse.
Level II
This is the career level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibility for performing a full range of nursing assignments as a Licensed Practical Nurse and perform nursing tasks at the full performance level in providing care to patients or clients. Responsibilities will include providing guidance and training to others in completing routine nursing tasks and activities.

Responsibilities
- Perform nursing procedures and specialized functions within the scope of LPN licensure.
- Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assist in assessing, monitoring, documenting, and reporting patient health status.
- Participate in developing and implementing patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Evaluate and report patient responses to interventions.
- Communicate patient information to supervisors and appropriate healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
Level I
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or, Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Level II Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing plus one year of practical nursing experience; or Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) plus one year of practical nursing experience.
Special Requirements of Level II: Some positions may require that applicants be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with the position. Applicants with the Department of Corrections must be willing and able to work any assigned shift or day of the week.
Training Requirements
- Completion of all required ODOC online training modules prior to reporting to the facility.

- Drug and Alcohol Testing required.
