Veterinary Technician Position
IMPORTANT: We are ONLY hiring experienced veterinary technicians with hands-on surgery and dental experience in dogs and cats.
This is not an entry-level position. Applicants without previous small animal surgical and dental experience will not be considered.
We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing outstanding patient care.
Required Experience
Candidates must have experience with:
- Surgical patient preparation and recovery
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Assisting with canine and feline surgical procedures
- Performing dental prophylaxis procedures
- Taking and interpreting dental radiographs
- Dental charting
- IV catheter placement
- Blood collection and laboratory procedures
- Hospitalized patient care
- Confident restraint and handling of dogs and cats
What We're Looking For
- Compassionate and empathetic toward pets and their owners
- Strong communication skills with clients and team members
- Detail-oriented with excellent medical record keeping
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Able to remain calm and efficient during busy or emergency situations
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Comfortable using veterinary software (Cornerstone experience is a plus)
- Proactive and able to anticipate patient and doctor needs
- Flexible and willing to assist where needed
