Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 School Year
CES Academy of Tampa is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support K–12 classroom instruction and help ensure that every student has a chance to succeed in school and in life. Teacher Assistants play a critical role in helping students win, belong, and love school again by providing instructional, behavioral, and organizational support in a small, nurturing learning environment.
CES Academy is a fully accredited private K–12 school through Cognia and is part of Children’s Educational Services (CES), a faith-based organization committed to championing students through personalized education, strong support systems, and faith-based values.

Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons and skill development
- Help create and maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Assist with classroom management, organization, and transitions
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the teacher and support team
- Build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff
- Uphold CES Academy’s values, ethics, and commitment to student success
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Three (3) years of classroom experience in an educational setting
- Paraprofessional certification.
Required:
- Experience working with K–12 students
- Experience supporting diverse learners or small-classroom environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructional plans and provide consistent student support
- Candidates must be eligible to clear and maintain a background screening in the State of Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
