CBP Millworks is looking for a motivated Shop Carpenter / Commercial Millwork Fabricator to join our team. We specialize in commercial cabinetry and architectural millwork for institutional, healthcare, government, and educational projects.
Experience in cabinet fabrication or commercial millwork is preferred, but it is not required. We are also open to candidates with foundational woodworking or carpentry skills who have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn the trade.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of custom cabinets, casework, countertops, and architectural millwork.
- Safely operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools appropriate to your experience and training.
- Perform layout, assembly, fitting, and installation of cabinet components, doors, drawers, hardware, laminates, veneers, and edge banding.
- Read and work from shop drawings, cut lists, measurements, and project specifications.
- Produce accurate, quality work that meets CBP Millworks’ standards and project requirements.
- Prepare completed millwork components for finishing, staging, and delivery.
- Identify material defects, measurement discrepancies, or other fabrication issues and communicate them to shop leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Work collaboratively with the fabrication team while taking responsibility for assigned work.
Requirements
- Previous cabinet, millwork, woodworking, or carpentry experience preferred but not required.
- Foundational woodworking or carpentry skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness and ability to learn commercial cabinet and millwork fabrication.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools; woodworking machinery experience is a plus.
- Ability to read shop drawings or construction drawings is a plus, but we are willing to consider candidates who are still developing this skill.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties of a shop environment.
- Ability to lift and handle lumber and sheet goods, with assistance for heavier materials.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
