The Office of Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is established within the Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) to integrate all of the State’s Executive Branches Information Technology (IT) administration, services and operations into a single, cohesive strategy to reduce costs, deliver more effective government services, increase business process efficiencies, improve the overall cyber security posture and to provide greater accountability and transparency to all constituents the State of Hawaii serves.
The Enterprise Systems Branch operates and maintains the State’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This office is responsible for directing business analysis tasks for ERP system implementation, upgrades, and enhancements and provides technical services to State agencies in the review, evaluation, and recommendations on proposals, bids, and contracts.
The position serves as the main contact within the Service Center assisting all State agencies with system operations and support of HIP Payroll, Human Resources, and Time & Leave applications and future ERP systems. The Analyst will evaluate and help to direct and guide end users in troubleshooting online application and technical related issues.

Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and concepts of IT technologies.
Skills/Abilities:Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and analytical/problem solving skills. Ability to perform situational analysis, manage tasks and assist in work on several projects at a time. Ability to analyze, classify and document business requirements and functional design specifications; and work effectively with a variety of State stakeholders to ensure that system updates, changes and modifications are clearly communicated to users. Ability to manage competing priorities and to drive results through a multi-disciplinary team with matrixed reporting relationships (i.e., departments/ agencies/jurisdictions and their specific functional subject matter experts).
Education: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university.
Experience:One (1) year of progressively responsible professional work experience which required high degrees of analytical skill. Such experience must have involved gathering, evaluating and analyzing facts and other pertinent information required to resolve problems and/or to determine and recommend appropriate courses of action.
This position is exempt from the civil service and considered temporary in nature. Therefore, if you are appointed to the position, your employment will be considered to be "at will," which means that you may be discharged from your employment at the prerogative of your department head or designee at any time.
