Basic Overview of Duties:
Driving a new, or newer, commercial vehicle outfitted with nicely maintained equipment to and from residential and commercial properties. Mowing lawns. Leading a crew of 2-3 people. Maintaining landscapes - including trimming, mowing, mulching, edging, leaf blowing, general cleanup, debris removal, etc. Using a phone or tablet to record services and take pictures. Production bonus packages are available!
Lawn Mowing Crew Leader:
Key Responsibilities:
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
- Adhering to schedules and budgeted performance goals.
- Evaluating properties, reporting concerns and sales opportunities.
- Direction, goal setting, and oversight of crew member(s) of a single production team.
- Cleanliness of production equipment and vehicle.
- Represent the company. One must properly represent the views, image, and company culture as a competent crew leader while in or out of the field.
- Mowing lawns, maintaining lawns, maintaining landscapes.
- May be required to assist in landscape maintenance or installation services when necessary to meet company goals and/or project schedules.
- May be required to assist in winter snow labor services. Operating equipment such as push spreaders, shovels, ATV, mowers, skid loader, snowplow, etc. in cold temperatures to clear snow and ice from residential and commercial properties. This is a 24/7 service and may include a separate job title, duties, requirements, compensation, and/or responsibilities when that position is required and/or offered.
Requirements:
- Crew leaders must have a valid Maryland Driver’s License that meets the requirements of the company, insurance company, and ability to meet minimum requirements set for by the Department of Transportation.
- Must possess required documents verifying the ability to work in the United States.
- Flexible schedule. The ability to work overtime and weekends, if required, to meet company goals, client expectations, and/or recover from weather delays.
- 1+ year of experience as a professional lawn mowing technician; must be accompanied by necessary managerial traits. OR 1+ year of experience as a landscape crew leader with prior training of proper mowing techniques.
7:00AM start time in Finksburg, MD 21048. Finished and clocked out by 4:00PM-7:00PM depending on schedule and seasonal work load.
