Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues swiftly, and ensuring overall guest happiness
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices in both front-of-house and kitchen areas
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for reservations and order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Previous experience in serving, bussing tables, or as a host/hostess is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing purposes
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Excellent communication skills to engage with guests and team members seamlessly
