We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Machinist / Toolroom Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment, support manufacturing operations, and maintain critical tools and machinery. Maintenance Machinist / Toolroom Specialist
Shift: 1st Shift
Role Overview: The Maintenance Machinist is responsible for the precision machining and reworking of critical mill components. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with both manual and CNC equipment to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, and surface grinders for daily toolroom tasks.
- Operate and troubleshoot Haas CNC lathes, including diagnosing physical hardware issues (e.g., turret alignment).
- Rework weld rolls for heavy tube mills (including Mill 3 and Mill 4).
- Machine consumable impeder parts strictly to print.
- Rough out jaws from solid stock for mill changeovers and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with heavy industrial machining.
- Strict adherence to standard ASE/SAE measurements (metric system not utilized).
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and fabricate parts from raw stock.
Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour
