American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a NE or compact RN license and prior post-op recovery experience.

Med/Surg unit within an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital
-
Handles Med/Surg and post-OR recovery patients, including oncology overflow cases
-
Patient ratio of 1:5
-
Uses nasal cannula respiratory equipment
-
EPIC EMR used
-
12-hour night shifts
-
36 hours per week
-
Floating required as needed within scope

Active NE or Compact RN license required
-
BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Minimum 1 year of charge experience required if serving in that capacity

Driver's license required for submission and residency verification

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg and post-op recovery patients

Must pass a pass/fail, open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% to continue the assignment

Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove them will result in contract termination

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Candidates may not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
