Job Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and energetic CNC Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of CNC-machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Utilize advanced quality management software and data collection tools to document inspection results accurately and efficiently.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance checks on measurement equipment, including coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), to ensure ongoing accuracy.
- Review manufacturing processes and perform quality audits in compliance with AS 9100, and other relevant standards.
- Identify non-conformances or deviations from specifications, document findings clearly, and communicate issues promptly to production teams for corrective action.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing inspection data, identifying trends, and recommending process enhancements aligned with HACCP, CGMP, and other quality systems.
- Assist in training team members on quality procedures, inspection techniques, and proper use of measurement instruments to foster a culture of quality awareness.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing quality control or inspection roles within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment.
- Strong familiarity with calibration procedures for precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, and CMMs.
- Knowledge of industry standards including AS 9100, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and FAA regulations.
- Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions to improve product quality.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection data accurately.
- Familiarity with PC Demis or similar coordinate measurement software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to report findings effectively and collaborate across teams.
