American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) Surgical Tech for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Indiana, requiring NBSTSA certification and experience with advanced cardiac and vascular procedures.

Position is based in a hospital CVOR unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center

Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, 11:00–21:30
-
Call requirement of 90–120 hours per 6-week schedule

Extensive cardiovascular and vascular case mix including CABG, TAVR, TEVAR, EVAR, AAA repair, mitral/valve replacement, VAD, heart and lung transplant, carotid endarterectomy, atherectomy, robotic-assisted cardiac surgery, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, aortic dissection, and more

Responsibilities include receiving pump lines from perfusion and preparing them for cannulation

Charting performed in Cerner (experience required)

Travelers may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) and NBSTSA certification required

Minimum 18 months to 2 years of CVOR surgical tech experience required

Level 1 Trauma Center experience required

Experience with vascular and thoracic surgery cases required

Cerner EMR experience required

Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited institution required

First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have Level 1 Trauma Center experience

Local candidates are accepted for this Periop/Surgical Services position

Former permanent or PRN employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

RTO of 5 days or fewer may be auto-approved
