About the role
Voyages Counseling is hiring therapists across our Colorado locations. We are a group practice built around the therapist. We provide the support most practices offer, including supervision, office space, supplies, and marketing. Where we put our real energy is your growth as a clinician.
Voyages is owned and run by therapists who still see clients, so we know the work from the inside, and many of us have walked the path you are on now. That shows up in how we supervise and consult. Supervision and consultation here are hands-on, and for pre-licensed clinicians they are free, including the supervised hours that count toward your full license. You are part of the practice here, not a number and not a weekly quota.
We work collaboratively and we listen. We believe health has many inputs, and we lean on each provider's expertise so no one clinician carries all of it alone.
You get the autonomy of private practice with the support of a clinic. Your schedule is flexible within shared office space, and there is room to work remotely. Offices are equipped to serve a broad range of clients. We are looking to fill these roles now immediately.
Roles we are filling (one of the following)
- Couples therapist, ideally trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), or willing to complete the training
- Child and adolescent therapist who can provide play therapy and/or family therapy
- Adult therapist comfortable working across a wide range of diagnoses
Who fits here
You will do well at Voyages if you are dependable, relational, and genuinely team-oriented. You can work with little direction, and you welcome a setting that shifts as the practice changes and grows. You care about your own growth as much as your clients' progress.
What you will do
- Practice legally and ethically, within Colorado law and professional standards
- Keep therapy notes for every session; notes may be reviewed at random to support best practice and professional development
- Attend regular consultation with colleagues and supervisors, plus group supervision (bi-weekly, at least monthly), regardless of licensure status
- Manage client copays and insurance information
- Handle client disruptions in a way that protects the therapeutic relationship and environment
- Maintain a clean, safe, professional space
- Stay flexible as Voyages develops and grows
- Carry a caseload of 10 to 30 clients per week
What we are looking for
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling (Psychology), Social Work, or a related mental health field, from an accredited program
- Colorado licensure (LMFT, LPC, PhD) or pre-licensure (MFTC, LPCC)
- Clinical experience providing mental health therapy, ideally 2 or more years post-graduate
- Preferred: specialized training beyond graduate school
What we provide
- Free clinical supervision and consultation, in group and individual settings, including supervision toward licensure for pre-licensed clinicians (MFTC, LPCC)
- SimplePractice, cloud-based EMR
- Fully furnished waiting room with coffee, water, and tea
- All office supplies and materials needed for effective therapy
- Internet
- Full credentialing and insurance paneling, if licensed
- Marketing and advertising
- External training when the budget allows
