Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our vibrant hospitality team! As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and efficient order handling. Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct processing of sales transactions.
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail, wine, spirits, and drink service, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales revenue through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or hospitality backgrounds.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong understanding of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing sales transactions and managing cash handling tasks.
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous for understanding food preparation and presentation standards.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that prioritizes guest satisfaction and guest relations.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures required for safe service delivery.
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating proficiency in serving, cashiering, and sales upselling techniques is highly desirable.
