Duties:
- Provide therapeutic services to individuals with special needs or disabilities
- Develop and implement care plans based on individual needs and goals
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment approaches
- Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Assist with crisis management and intervention as needed
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Provide support and education to families and caregivers
- Specialize in dementia care for elderly individuals in assisted living facilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work)
- Valid licensure or certification as a therapist (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or disabilities
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing
- Strong crisis management skills and ability to handle challenging situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
