ABOUT THE ROLE
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality, customer confidence, and regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspections, managing calibration programs, maintaining ISO and regulatory compliance, and supporting documentation such as PPAPs, FMEAs, Control Plans, and CAPARs. This role partners closely with customers and internal teams to address quality concerns, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability and operational performance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to foster accountability and quality-focused problem solving across the organization.
Responsibilities
· Professionally communicates with customers, instilling confidence and trust in HSI.
· Maintains ISO compliance, including internal auditing and regulatory compliance such as RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals.
· Performs routine inspections of in-process and finished goods according to company standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory standards.
· Documents inspection data accurately and consistently.
· Completes final inspections to authorize shipments.
· Contacts customers to discuss in-process parts and submit deviation requests when necessary.
· Creates NCRs and CAPARs and participates in root cause analysis.
· Creates and maintains Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP documentation, and master samples.
· Maintains equipment through calibration and routine maintenance to ensure parts are produced within tolerance.
· Develop training and continuous improvement plans aimed at improving product quality and reliability.
· Empowers others and fosters accountability.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
· Associates degree or 2-4 years of equivalent experience.
· Must be able to read blueprints, knowledge of GD&T a plus.
· Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges.
· CMM and Keyence experience are highly desired.
· Strong attention to detail is critical with a high degree of organization.
