Job Summary
We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation across our facilities. In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and administer therapeutic procedures for pediatric and adult populations based on physician referrals. You will establish individualized treatment goals, track patient progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team to maximize outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations, build individualized treatment plans, and administer safe, evidence-based therapy.
- Progress Tracking & Adjustments: Regularly reassess patients, adjusting therapeutic interventions to match changing recovery needs.
- Documentation & Billing: Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, evaluations, and billing records.
- Patient Education: Instruct patients and family members on therapeutic exercises, home care routines, and injury prevention.
- Safety & Environment: Safely operate therapy equipment and maintain a clean, infection-controlled environment.
- Compliance & Professional Standards: Follow hospital policies, risk management standards, and the proper chain of command. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting required
- Licensure: PT - Physical Therapist license in the state of employment required
- Certification: BLS - Basic Life Support obtained within 30 days of hire required
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Solid understanding of core physical therapy principles, therapeutic techniques, and patient safety standards.
- Proficiency with physical therapy equipment and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for documentation/billing.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills to manage flexible scheduling and float responsibilities efficiently.
