We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Manager to lead our facilities maintenance and equipment reliability efforts. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance operations of a manufacturing plant, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely. Summary: The role is responsible for leading the maintenance department while staying actively involved in troubleshooting, equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, downtime reduction, and production support. The Maintenance Manager is expected to work directly with technicians on roll-forming lines, presses, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, servo systems, VFDs, and other industrial machinery.Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the maintenance team across shifts
- Assigning and tracking daily maintenance work
- Improving preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Reducing unplanned downtime and recurring equipment failures
- Managing spare parts, vendors, contractors, repair planning, and maintenance costs
- Reporting maintenance KPIs such as downtime, PM completion, repeat failures, work orders, MTTR, labor, overtime, and parts shortages
- Ensuring safety compliance, including lockout/tagout, guarding, inspections, and corrective actions
- Supporting equipment installations, modifications, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects
The ideal candidate should have at least five years of industrial maintenance experience, prior leadership experience, strong hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine safety circuits, and CMMS use. Preferred qualifications include experience with roll-forming equipment, stamping/servo presses, coil-processing equipment, Allen-Bradley PLCs, automation, motion control, and bilingual English/Spanish skills.Overall, the position requires someone who can balance hands-on technical work with department leadership, build stronger maintenance systems, develop technicians, improve reliability, and reduce equipment downtime while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
