Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and reviewing structural designs for a variety of construction projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Design and analysis of structures and structural components
· Development of design calculation reports
· Review of contractor submittals to ensure conformance with structural drawings
· Review and response to contractors’ requests for information
· Development of structural drawing using Revit or AutoCAD
· 3D modeling of structures using Revit
· Other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer
Required Skills:
· Work as a team member with a shared objective
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Computer/Software- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Ability to perform hand analysis of basic structures and structural components
· Familiar with AISC steel design and ACI concrete methods and codes
· Familiar with ASCE 7 and IBC design codes
· Familiar with CAD programs and developing structural drawings
Desired Skills:
· Read and comprehend contractual construction documents, i.e., construction drawings, specifications, submittals, construction schedules, and sketches
· Experienced in designing and analyzing steel structures and components using AISC design methods and codes
· Experienced in designing and analyzing steel-reinforced concrete foundations and components using ACI design methods and codes
· Experienced in developing structural drawings using AutoCAD
Background Requirements:
· Education:
o Bachelor's in civil engineering with emphasis in structures or,
o Bachelor's in mechanical engineering with emphasis in finite element analysis or
Other Requirements:
· Minimum 4 years with a bachelor's degree
· Minimum 2 years with a master's degree
· PE license preferred
· Ability to obtain a PE license in 6 to 9 months
Pay: $82,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
