Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and collections.
- Oversee payroll management tasks using systems such as ADP, Workday, or UltiPro to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist with internal controls compliance including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures and audit preparations.
- Support corporate accounting functions such as benefits administration, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, and tax experience as needed.
- Utilize various accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, Kronos, or similar platforms for data entry, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
- Perform month-end closing activities including journal entries, ledger review, and financial statement preparation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including human resources and finance to ensure seamless operations related to payroll and benefits administration.
- Lead efforts in account reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a focus on technical accounting practices.
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards along with experience applying them in real-world scenarios.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Workday or similar platforms; familiarity with HRIS systems like ADP or Ceridian is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SOX compliance procedures and internal control frameworks.
- Experience managing payroll processes using systems like Paychex or ADP is advantageous.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with effective data entry skills including 10-key typing proficiency.
- Ability to perform account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping efficiently while maintaining high accuracy standards.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting audit activities.

Pay: $79,275.05 - $95,471.03 per year
