Position Overview
This position plays a key role in helping our professional landscape, contractor, and trade clients succeed by providing knowledgeable product guidance, reliable service, and positive client experience while developing long-term account strategies and growth plans to support continued growth of our Wholesale business.
The Client Relations Rep position supports existing client relationships while assisting with new business development under the guidance and processes established by the Director of Sales and the sales team. This role works closely with buyers, yard operations, and fellow sales professionals to ensure client’s orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and with the high level of service Weston Nurseries is known for.
The ideal candidate is team-oriented, detail-driven, client-focused, and eager to grow their horticultural and sales knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring their needs are met, fostering long-term relationships.
Project Coordination: Oversee the implementation of projects and campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client expectations.
Communication: Facilitate clear and regular communication between clients and internal teams to manage expectations and resolve issues.
Sales Growth: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services to existing clients and qualified leads, contributing to revenue growth.
Develop and execute upon a detailed business plan to generate sales that meet or exceed established goals. Analyze client purchasing trends and recommend strategies that improve customer profitability and long-term account growth.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on account activity, performance metrics and client feedback to internal stakeholders. Maintain CRM database by inputting leads and updating activity to support account development strategies.
Client Experience Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to help develop strategies that enhance client experience and addresses client needs.
Knowledge: Within a year, obtain your industry MCLP certification, sponsored and paid for by Weston Wholesale. Remain knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments in the Horticultural and Nursery industries.
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain strong working knowledge of our POS order entry and inventory system so we can quickly respond to inventory questions and order requests. Also establish visibility to any outside inventory to better understand what we can purchase in for clients.
Collaborate with internal teams to help ensure client needs are met.
Maintain thorough understanding of all hard goods and hard-scape products we offer clients so that we can supply all their needs on every project
Work collaboratively with sales, operations, and yard according to company procedures to ensure consistency with seamless client service and order execution
Participate in safety meetings and follow Weston Nurseries safety standards
Perform additional responsibilities related to client portfolio management and sales strategy as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Strong interest and previous experience with plant material, landscaping products, or the green industry preferred
- Ability to analyze client needs and independently recommend business and product solutions
- Ability to provide excellent client service and build positive working relationships
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexible work schedule to support seasonal business needs
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
