Working to cover checkpoints for fireworks safety zone, covering entry/exits to beer garden, helping vendors with set-up, helping to run kids’ events, working the beer garden, and clean-up after the event.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Stopping people from entering the fireworks safety zone, stopping people from bringing outside alcohol into the beer garden or taking alcohol out of beer garden. Helping to manage and run the kids’ games and SUP Demo. Checking ID’s, pouring beer / wine, and managing crowds at beer garden. Cleaning up trash after the event and putting away city equipment.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Directing parking lot and assisting with vendor and band set up.
Required Education and Experience:
We would prefer those that are 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Other Necessary Requirements:
We would prefer those that have a valid driver’s license.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge: Must have basic knowledge of the area and the specifics of the 4th of July event and schedule. Must have good customer service skillsSkill: Must be able to move and carry event equipment.
Ability: Must be able to communicate effectively.
English Language Comprehension - Requires the ability to listen to, read, understand and communicate the English language so that others are able to understand. This must be done both orally and in writing, at the level appropriate for the position held.
Work Environment:
This job requires workers to stay outside in the elements for long periods of time, which can include very sunny, breezy or rainy conditions. I can require standing for long periods of time and can include a lot of walking and carrying of event equipment around the park. Communicating with radios, using hammers and staplers, zip-ties, lath, & beer garden equipment.
