About the Position
We're looking for a compassionate, dependable, and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our about to be four-doctor small animal practice. You'll work closely with our veterinarians and and the team to provide exceptional patient care while building lasting relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely restrain and handle patients while providing low-stress, compassionate care.
- Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records.
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, blood collection, and laboratory testing.
- Administer medications, vaccines, fluids, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical procedures.
- Perform dental prophylaxis and take dental radiographs (this can be taught through training if you come with no experience in dental radiography).
- Monitor hospitalized patients and assist with emergency triage, stabilization, and CPR when needed.
- Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventative care, nutrition, and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized treatment area while following OSHA and hospital safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure excellent patient care and a positive client experience.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) is necessary
- Experience in a small animal veterinary practice.
- Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, laboratory procedures, medication administration, and patient nursing care.
- Strong communication and client education skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork.
- Fear Free Certification is a plus but not required.
