Milliron Auto Parts is looking for a reliable, customer-focused Tow Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely retrieving vehicles that have been purchased by Milliron Auto Parts for recycling and transporting them back to our facility. This position requires excellent driving skills, professionalism with customers, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a rollback or wheel-lift tow truck to pick up vehicles purchased by Milliron Auto Parts.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Communicate with customers to coordinate vehicle pickups and provide excellent customer service.
- Complete required paperwork and verify vehicle information, titles, and purchase documentation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Plan efficient pickup routes and maintain communication with dispatch and office staff.
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety procedures.
- Assist with unloading vehicles and organizing incoming inventory in the salvage yard.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the tow truck.
- Assist with other yard or operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience operating a rollback or tow truck is preferred.
- Ability to safely load and secure a variety of vehicles, including damaged or non-running vehicles.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while managing daily routes and schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
