Why work in a SUITE when you can join our vibrant team as a Hair Stylist Cosmetologist / Barber in an established salon with a great TEAM! You can choose to work full time or part time as an independent stylist or barber creating your own flexible schedule to fit your needs. We have a receptionist at the front dest during business hours to greet your guests to their new salon. We provide towels, capes, backbar at the shampoo bowl and a space for you in our break room. We've been at this for 35 years in beautiful GLEN LAKE (Minnetonka)! This is a great environment where your passion for beauty and dedication to exceptional client service will shine! - Provide professional haircuts, styling, coloring, and texturing services tailored to each client’s preferences and needs.
- Use salon software such as Vagaro to schedule appointments, manage client records, and streamline operations
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations
- Offer expert advice on hair care products and retail sales to support clients’ ongoing beauty routines
- Communicate clearly with clients about their desired looks, explaining procedures and aftercare instructions effectively
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state law; experience working in the beauty industry is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of hair care products, color theory, and current styling trends
- Skilled in various techniques including hair coloring, custom coloring, hair cutting
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and understand their desired results
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe and hygienic salon environment
- Experience with retail sales and upselling strategies to promote product recommendations effectively
