Now Hiring: Clinical Medical Technologist – Second Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, with every third Saturday
Starting Pay: $28.00 per hour and up, depending on experience
Shift Differential: Additional $3.00 per hour for second shift

About the Role
The Clinical Medical Technologist is responsible for performing professional laboratory work by following established laboratory procedures and performing chemical and biological testing on patient specimens for medical diagnosis. This role includes conducting laboratory tests, procedures, experiments, and analyses that provide critical data for diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Study blood cells, including their numbers and morphology, using microscopic techniques
- Analyze test results and enter findings accurately into the computer system
- Perform blood group, type, and compatibility testing for transfusion purposes
- Maintain laboratory quality assurance by performing proficiency testing
- Perform quality-control testing in designated areas
- Analyze quality-control data and take appropriate corrective action when results fall outside acceptable limits
- Assist laboratory co-workers with resolving quality-control or testing concerns
- Seek guidance from the section head when needed
- Document corrective actions taken
- Hold patient results until out-of-control situations are resolved
- Report unresolved issues to the section head or clinical pathologist when appropriate
- Support general laboratory functions and institutional needs
- Perform specimen collection and processing duties according to established policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
- Proven clinical laboratory experience, including exposure to assays such as ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and blood banking techniques
- Strong knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and specimen collection/processing techniques, including venipuncture and phlebotomy
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex test results accurately
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and hospital laboratory procedures
- Ability to operate sophisticated laboratory equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining aseptic techniques
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data management and record keeping
