Gillmann Services is currently seeking experienced Welders/Fitters for long-term work in a fabrication shop environment. Candidates must be able to read blueprints, fit structural and miscellaneous steel components, and perform quality welds while maintaining production schedules and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Fit and assemble structural steel and fabricated components
- Perform MIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding as required
- Measure, cut, tack, and weld materials to specifications
- Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Previous Welder/Fitter experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with structural steel fabrication preferred
- Ability to accurately measure and fit materials
- Reliable transportation and attendance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
