Overview
Our company is currently searching for an experienced and highly motivated Food Service Associate to join our team. We're looking for a candidate who can multitask effectively, follow direction well, and maintain a pleasant and outgoing disposition with our customers. The successful Food Service Driver will be assisting with transportation of food products , supplies, & paperwork from a central location to nearby schools within the school district.
NO CDL Required.
Physical demands: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, push, pull, and bend throughout the work period; ability to lift and carry up to 80lbs; repetitive hand and arm motions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage delivery and pick up of daily food items and deliver to assigned school locations
- Deliver items in a safe manner to all sites which includes, but not limited to, schools, daycares, catering venues, office, and other deliveries as needed
- Load and unload all items in the delivery process; ensure timely and efficient delivery of items
- Maintain clean and orderly vehicle, dock and storage areas after unloading items. Ensure assigned vehicle is maintained regularly; inform management of any necessary repairs
- Follow all rules of the road to ensure the safety of oneself, other people, equipment, and vehicles
- Adhere to Code of Conduct, Uniform Guidelines, Safety Standards, and Accident Reporting Procedures
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to operate motor vehicles and delivery trucks. Small Box Truck is used, no CDL or special license required.
- Proven communication skills with the ability to think quickly and identify/solve customer concerns.
- Be able to read and speak English clearly.
- Pass a background check.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Be able to lift up to 80lbs
