Help Shape the Future of Residential Care
Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services is seeking an experienced leader to oversee residential and clinical services on our Monticello campus.
The ideal candidate has experience leading residential treatment, child welfare, or behavioral health programs and enjoys developing staff, strengthening systems, and improving outcomes for youth.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will work directly with the CEO to help shape the future of our residential programs while ensuring the highest quality care for children and families.
If you enjoy developing people, improving systems, and building strong teams, we'd love to talk with you.
Why Vera Lloyd?
For more than 100 years, Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services has served Arkansas children, youth, and families through residential treatment, behavioral health services, foster care, and family support programs.
We believe strong leadership requires support.
You will not be expected to carry this responsibility alone.
The Director works alongside experienced program supervisors, clinicians, administrative staff, maintenance staff, and executive leadership. This role is designed for someone who wants to lead people, strengthen programs, and make meaningful improvements—not simply react to daily challenges.
We recognize excellent leaders come from a variety of clinical backgrounds. While licensure is important, we place a high value on residential leadership experience, sound judgment, and the ability to build strong teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for residential and clinical services across campus.
- Support, supervise, and develop program leaders, clinicians, and direct care leadership.
- Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, professional growth, and excellent care.
- Ensure high-quality trauma-informed programming that meets licensing, accreditation, and professional standards.
- Monitor program performance, staffing, quality improvement initiatives, and client outcomes.
- Maintain strong working relationships with referral partners, state agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with DHS, Medicaid, COA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Participate as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team.
- Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with the CEO.
- Participate in a shared administrative on-call rotation to provide support for campus needs after hours.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in residential care, behavioral health, child welfare, or a closely related setting.
- Current clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LPE, LMSW, LAC, or equivalent) or ability to obtain Arkansas licensure.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license meeting DHS requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Leadership within therapeutic residential treatment, QRTP, group homes, psychiatric residential, or child welfare programs.
- Supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with Medicaid, behavioral health operations, accreditation, licensing, or quality improvement.
- Experience developing staff and building a healthy organizational culture.
