This is your opportunity to join the team! We are currently looking for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Surgical (Operating Room) Department. This OR Nurses will be scheduled to work 10 Hour Per Day/4 Days a week from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
***NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS AND NO CALL REQUIRED***
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of the OR Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:
· Prepare set-up materials and equipment for cases as needed and assist surgeons in all types of surgical procedures, as required.
· Set-up, operate and/or monitor the use of various systems, equipment and instrumentation required for the care of patients.
· Circulate a variety of surgical specialties for a challenging and interesting work environment.
· Assist in the transportation, positioning, and pre-operative preparation of patients.
· Maintain accurate and complete patient records and nurse notes through clear documentation while circulating multi-specialty surgical cases.
· Maintain safe and clean working environment and protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
· Maintain inventory control of supplies and medications, including appropriate records and documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Nursing License specialty program of 18 months to 3 years
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Job Related Experience Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in the surgical nursing field
- Patient care experience preferred in Critical Care, ER or PACU
- Previous experience with Medical and standard Office Equipment
