The Solomon Organization has opportunities for experienced Part-Time groundskeeper/porter to join our team at Honeywood Apartments in Roanoke, VA. Previous experience in a similar role preferred. Dependability and ability to clean thoroughly is essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition
- Maintains working condition of cleaning equipment, such as cleaning equipment, changing filters, etc.
- Performs routine maintenance tasks such as removing trash, picking up debris
- Notifies service department of burned out light bulbs, broken globes, etc.
- Weekly cleaning of all common areas and office space.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work 25 hours per week
- Minimum of 1 year hands on experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related field is recommended
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organization skills

EXPECTATIONS:
Attendance is an imperative job function as is working in a team oriented environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS IN ADDITION TO THOSE LISTED ABOVE:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Position requires bending, lifting, kneeling, twisting, and performing installations at awkward angles. Work environment may include loud noises, dust, dirt, and minor hazards.
