This role is for a Software Engineer in Test focused on building and improving customer-facing applications through a combination of software development and test automation. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests across multiple levels such as unit, integration, functional, and performance testing. The position emphasizes improving software quality by influencing design decisions, preventing defects, and integrating reliable automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is important to enhance test coverage, release speed, and overall system health, while also participating in code reviews and Agile development processes. The ideal candidate has 4 to 9 years of experience testing and automating front-end and web service applications, with strong expertise in Java and related technologies. Experience with tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Groovy, Geb, RESTful services, Jenkins, and Git is important, along with knowledge of SQL and cloud environments, preferably AWS. A background in object-oriented programming and a solid understanding of software development lifecycle practices are expected. The role requires someone detail-oriented, self-driven, and comfortable working across multiple technologies, with a strong focus on test-driven development, automation, and continuous improvement. Must Have :- • API testing capabilities and UI testing • Webservices automation • Using Java and Selenium (will be the bulk of the role)
