Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Gardner, MA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- 36 Hours/Week
- Day Shift
- 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Rotating Weekends and Holidays Required

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join a Cardiopulmonary team in a patient-focused healthcare environment. This opportunity is ideal for respiratory professionals with strong clinical and patient care skills who thrive in a collaborative healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and provide respiratory care to patients across multiple age groups
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and oxygen therapy per physician orders
- Obtain ABGs and perform Pulse Oximetry accurately
- Perform Pulmonary Function Testing according to ATS standards
- Conduct EKGs and ensure accurate recordings
- Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, BIPAP, and CPAP units
- Assess cardiopulmonary status and recommend changes to care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and equipment
- Assist with flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy procedures
- Document patient care, treatments, and outcomes accurately within Meditech
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
Requirements:
- Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or eligibility required
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license required
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
- NRP certification required within 6 months of hire
- PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills required
