Life Bridge Remote provides cutting-edge, 100% remote support for individuals with developmental disabilities. From your own home or our remote monitoring center, you will use two-way audio/video communication devices to connect with the people we serve. Your digital presence allows individuals to increase independence in their own homes in the least intrusive manner possible—providing vital care without the need for in-person home visits.
We are currently looking for Remote Support Professionals (RSPs) who are incredibly relational, empathetic, and have an amazing capacity to make others feel awesome.
We desire compassionate RSPs with excellent people skills along with a high level of integrity and responsibility. Although this position is fulfilled remotely, we are looking for Remote Support Professionals who live by our headquarters in the Canton, OH area.
Remote Support Professional Job Summary:
We are specifically looking for staff who can do a mix of overnight and daytime hours. Would need to be able to work at least two 10pm - 6am shifts per week.
Our remote support model utilizes strategically placed in-home sensors and two-way audio/video tablets to meet the needs of the individuals we serve. Our Remote Support Professionals respond to and assist the individual when necessary from remote work stations by communicating with the individuals on their two-way audio/video tablets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote supervision and support for individuals to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist remotely with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and personal hygiene guidance.
- Respond promptly to alerts, notifications, or requests for assistance via remote communication tools.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and confidence.
- Maintain regular communication with individuals, caregivers, and support teams to assess needs and progress.
- Use accessible technology to facilitate interaction and engagement.
- Identify and address immediate concerns or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Guide individuals through problem-solving strategies for everyday challenges.
- Escalate serious situations to appropriate caregivers, emergency services, or supervisory staff as needed.
- Operate and troubleshoot remote support technology, including video monitoring, smart home devices, and emergency alert systems.
- Ensure all assistive devices are functioning properly and assist individuals in using them effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, support provided, and any incidents or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, privacy policies, and organizational guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices.
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining life skills that promote independence.
- Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities using virtual resources when appropriate.
- Adapt support strategies to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
