Job Summary:
The Human Resources Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting and managing day-to-day human resource operations, employee and contractor lifecycle processes, compliance administration, and internal people programs. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a strong employee experience while ensuring operational consistency, policy compliance, and effective HR process execution across the business.
This position partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support employee onboarding, benefits administration, performance processes, employee engagement initiatives, and workforce compliance, while helping strengthen and improve the company’s people infrastructure as the business continues to grow.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage employee and contractor onboarding, offboarding, and employment status changes
- Coordinate new hire documentation, onboarding, workflows, and orientation processes
- Coordinate background checks, client-specific onboarding requirements, compliance documentation and onboarding records
- Maintain employee records and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance
- Ensure contractor onboarding compliance, credentialing, and client-required documentation are completed timely and accurately
- Support employee transitions, internal changes, and employment life cycle events
- Manage, coordinate and facilitate contractor consultant timesheets and expense processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission for billing
- Administer employee benefits programs, enrollments, changes, and annual renewals
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and support
- Assist with benefits audits, reporting, and vendor coordination
- Support benefits education and employee communication
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Coordinate compliance-related activities, training, and completion tracking
- Coordinate leave administration and workers’ compensation processes
- Support policy maintenance and HR process documentation
- Serve as an employee-facing resource for HR-related questions and support
- Manage employee communication and internal HR initiatives
- Coordinate performance review cycles and processes
- Assist with employee development initiatives and growth planning
- Support payroll administration, employee changes, and HRIS data accuracy
- Identify HR process gaps and recommend operational improvements
- Support HR workflow optimization, process consistency, and documentation
- Assist with HR reporting, dashboards, and employee data management
- Support internal and workforce audits and HR operational readiness
- Partner cross-functionally with various departments as needed to support operational continuity and organizational priorities
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in human resources operations
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR process execution
- Working knowledge of and experience with federal and multi-state employment laws
- Experience in staffing, professional services, or workforce solutions preferred
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
