Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Utility <PERSON> to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will support various on-site activities, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety standards. Your hands-on approach and technical skills will contribute to the successful completion of complex construction projects, particularly in pipeline and heavy infrastructure sectors. Responsibilities
- Assist with construction site activities, including material handling, equipment setup, and site organization
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project execution
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to ensure quality control and safety compliance
- Support project scheduling efforts using construction management software like Primavera P6 and HeavyBid
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to monitor project progress, update schedules, and report on site conditions
- Assist in managing contracts, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations
- Supervise or coordinate with subcontractors and team members to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work, preferably within pipeline or heavy civil projects
- Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety
- Demonstrated supervising or management experience on active construction sites
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Skills in budgeting, project scheduling, quality control, and contract management are highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices
