Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction
Location: Montgomery, AL
Salary: $150,000–$170,000 Base + Annual Bonus
We're partnering with a well-established civil contractor that is looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager to their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has successfully managed large civil construction projects from start to finish and enjoys leading teams, working directly with clients, and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage multiple heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and overall project performance.
- Lead project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, municipalities, inspectors, and DOT representatives.
- Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Conduct regular job site visits to monitor safety, quality, and project progress.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.
- Experience managing projects involving roadways, bridges, utilities, grading, earthwork, stormwater, or site development.
- Experience working on DOT or federally funded infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Experience leading field teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
