Job Description: We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who can assist in the office with quoting CNC machining jobs, purchasing materials, and creating job travelers for the shop. The ideal candidate will also be willing to help out in the shop as needed. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for CNC machining jobs.
- Purchase materials and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
- Create detailed job travelers to guide shop floor operations.
- Assist in the shop with machining tasks as required.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quotes, purchases, and job travelers.
- Support general office duties and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in CNC machining is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and operation.
- Experience with quoting jobs and purchasing materials.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
