BEHAVIORAL TECHNICIAN
Semi-monthly salary $1,772.40
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. Years of service adjustments, shift differentials, and other targeted salary payments are applied to the total compensation of your paycheck and are subject to eligibility requirements of the appropriate differential.

BT 4 Thursday/Friday Team I, 6:30am – 3:00pm
BT 4 Monday/Tuesday Team II, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Responsibilities - What you’ll do
This is semi-skilled direct care work implementing behavioral programs for persons with developmental disabilities exhibiting behavioral problems severe enough to endanger their current level of placement.
- Implement behavioral support techniques developed by the behavior resource team for consumers potentially requiring more restrictive environments due to their behaviors.
- Respond to crisis situations and implement interventions established until behavior is safe.
- Ability to implement and instruct others in the implementation of behavior support plans and crisis intervention techniques
- Ability to lift clients and assist in performing transfers and physical restraint procedures.
- Use of hands-on skills (dependent care).
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard behavior modification techniques, including receiving an Advanced Skills certificate of the Safety Care program, and maintaining this certification.
- Ability to maintain all trainings, including CORE, CPR, and First Aid.
- Ability to train and maintain Behavior Support Strategies training within six (6) months of starting.
- Ability to train and maintain Mental Health First Aid training within six (6) months of starting.
- Ability to train and maintain Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale within 90 days of starting.
- Must successfully demonstrate the Essential Skills - BST Skills within one year of starting.

Minimum Qualifications:
- One or more years of direct care experience with implementing behavior support plans for persons with developmental disabilities and possession of high school diploma or equivalency and a valid driver's license.
